The reason the mayor and others responded as they did was because of the unrest in LA at the time. But, still, with what he did, I can see why he got what he did. While the cops should have reigned in their anger a lil but, as for Mr. King, there is a price to pay for stupidity.
...And if you ain't down with that, I got 2 words for ya....

It really wasnt a BIG LOSS to society if something did happen to him, so who cares?
